• Wildlife sightings, notes, comments, and confirmations
• Photos, videos, and media you intentionally upload
• App and website usage data such as interactions and timestamps
• Technical and diagnostic data including device type, operating system, app version, and crash logs

Location Data

Location data is collected only when you actively choose to record a wildlife sighting or use location-based features. SpoorTrack does not collect location data in the background and does not track your movement over time.

Location information may be stored as part of a sighting record to provide context and historical insight. Location data is not sold, shared for advertising purposes, or used for cross-app tracking.

Wildlife & Location Sensitivity

SpoorTrack is designed with conservation and ethical wildlife tracking in mind. Sensitive wildlife location data may be restricted, generalized, delayed, or masked to reduce the risk of misuse and to protect wildlife and sensitive environments.

Camera & Media Access

Camera and media access are used solely to allow you to upload photos or videos related to wildlife sightings. SpoorTrack does not access your camera or photo library without your explicit action and does not capture media automatically or in the background.

Data Storage & Security

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we continuously review and improve our safeguards.

Third-Party Services

SpoorTrack uses third-party service providers to operate and support the platform, including cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and app store billing. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver their services and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Sharing of Information

SpoorTrack does not sell or rent your personal information. Information is shared only when required to operate core services, enforce community rules, comply with legal obligations, or protect the safety of users and wildlife.

User-Generated Content

Content you choose to upload may be visible to other users depending on the feature or visibility settings. You are responsible for the information and content you decide to share.

If your account is deleted, some public content may remain in an anonymized or aggregated form where removal would compromise data integrity or conservation records.

Account & Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. Upon deletion, personal identifiers are removed or anonymized.

Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate operational purposes such as fraud prevention, security, or compliance.

Children’s Privacy

SpoorTrack is intended for users aged 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Your Choices

You may control app permissions through your device settings, choose what information you share, and request account or data deletion. Additional controls may be introduced as SpoorTrack evolves.
